Results Matter. Preparation Wins.

When you hire an attorney, you are not just hiring someone to file paperwork. You are hiring someone to take responsibility for your case, understand what happened, identify who is responsible, and prepare to fight for you.

That is how Tomas Robirosa approaches every case.

Tomas is a South Florida trial lawyer representing individuals, families, and homeowners in personal injury, property damage, insurance disputes, and other civil litigation matters. He has helped clients recover millions of dollars through settlements arising from car accidents, slip and falls, negligent security, hurricane and storm damage, plumbing and water damage, construction defects, and other claims involving negligence and property loss.

His clients have faced some of the largest and most sophisticated companies in the world, including big-box retailers, insurance companies, contractors, property management companies, condominium associations, landlords, and other businesses. Tomas understands that these cases can involve experienced adjusters, defense lawyers, corporate representatives, engineers, contractors, medical professionals, and insurance companies whose interests are not necessarily aligned with yours.

That is why preparation matters.

A South Florida Lawyer Trained to Litigate

Tomas earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law in Broward County, where he was named to the Dean’s List for four consecutive semesters.

During law school, Tomas participated in the Trial Advocacy Summer Institute and the Pro Bono Honors Program, gaining practical experience in advocacy while serving clients who needed legal help. His commitment to the Pro Bono Honors program was recognized with an award for his substantial pro bono service and the number of hours he contributed.

He was later awarded a scholarship to attend the Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section Advanced Trial Advocacy Program at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. The program provided intensive trial training alongside experienced lawyers from throughout Florida.

That training continues to shape how Tomas prepares cases today: know the facts, know the law, anticipate the other side, and be ready for trial.

Tomas is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and is admitted to practice in Florida state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Experience When the Other Side Has Resources

Insurance companies, corporations, contractors, landlords, condominium associations, and property management companies have lawyers and professionals working to protect their interests. Tomas believes his clients deserve an advocate who is equally prepared.

His practice includes claims involving:

  • Car and motor vehicle accidents
  • Slip and fall injuries
  • Negligent security
  • Personal injury and negligence
  • Hurricane and storm damage
  • Homeowners insurance claims
  • Water and plumbing damage
  • Property damage
  • Insurance disputes and denied or underpaid claims

A Lawyer Who Knows South Florida

Tomas’s connection to South Florida extends beyond the courtroom. He is active in local and statewide trial lawyer organizations and involved in the South Florida Hispanic legal community. He speaks English and Spanish, allowing him to serve clients and families in both languages.

Public professional profiles identify his involvement with organizations including the Florida Justice Association, Miami-Dade Trial Lawyers Association, Broward County Trial Lawyers Association, and Miami Beach Bar Association.

Those relationships matter. Litigation is not practiced in a vacuum. Experience with other lawyers, mediators, professionals, and members of the legal community gives Tomas perspective that can benefit his clients when evaluating a claim, negotiating a settlement, or preparing a case for trial.
