Tomas earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law in Broward County, where he was named to the Dean’s List for four consecutive semesters.
During law school, Tomas participated in the Trial Advocacy Summer Institute and the Pro Bono Honors Program, gaining practical experience in advocacy while serving clients who needed legal help. His commitment to the Pro Bono Honors program was recognized with an award for his substantial pro bono service and the number of hours he contributed.
He was later awarded a scholarship to attend the Florida Bar Trial Lawyers Section Advanced Trial Advocacy Program at the University of Florida Levin College of Law. The program provided intensive trial training alongside experienced lawyers from throughout Florida.
That training continues to shape how Tomas prepares cases today: know the facts, know the law, anticipate the other side, and be ready for trial.
Tomas is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and is admitted to practice in Florida state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
